The Accelerator Speed Training System is designed to increase swing speeds by getting the body to move at a quicker/faster pace than the golfer’s normal speed. The concept is to first increase the speed of the body by reducing the “swing-load” or the weight of the club. Step 2 is an increase in “swing-load” to teach the golfer that the body is capable of moving at a faster pace. Three different weights are used in the training to progressively increase the swing load. Two clubs in the swing trainer system are lighter, and one is slightly heavier than a standard driver.
1. Start with the 145g trainer and swing 6 times on your natural swing side.
2. Repeat with the 175g and 220g trainers.
3. Switch to the other side and repeat steps 1 and 2.
4. Swing with a “baseball style” or “step through swing” starting with the 145g trainer and swing 6 times on your natural swing side.
5. Repeat with the 175g and 220g trainers.
6. Switch to the other side and repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. Finally, take the 145g trainer and swing it 10 times at full speed on your natural swing side with a golf club style swing.
Please note this routine should done at maximum speed and effort. This a workout; make sure you use a short rest period between sets.
- Includes 3 full length golf clubs each with specific weights (145g tip weight, 175g tip weight, 220g tip weight)
- Increase your club head speed
- 45 inches in length, 60 gram graphite shafts
- Minimal training time per week to see results
